Tourism Forum recommends investment in infrastructure
Luanda – The Angolan government should work on infrastructure development, security and improving the business environment to attract investment and tourists, according to recommendations of the World Tourism Forum, which will take place from 23 to 25 May in Luanda.

Participants at the Forum, which was opened Thursday by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, recommended the establishment of partnerships between African countries for the development of the sector.
The Forum, whose doors close Saturday (25), has raised the interest of international partners in the sector and the hotel industry, to establish partnerships with Angolan businessmen, taking into account national trust and legal certainty.
The meeting allowed international players to support Angola to enter the world tourism route, and to contribute to the process of training and qualifying national staff.
Participants acknowledged “the strong impact” of tourism on the global economy and community management of natural resources, thus concluding that no tourism project is successful unless it promotes community involvement.
At the opening of the event, the Chief Executive, João Lourenço, stated that the promotion of the country’s image, with the holding of the Presidential Golf Day and the World Forum, will improve the business environment and the consequent attracting of foreign investment. to Angola.
The Minister of Tourism, Ângela Bragança, justified the relevance of the event, as it constitutes a platform for dialogue of intervention, experiences, creation of relationships and above all the projection of tourism as a vector of the economy.
The first session of the Forum served to reflect on international tourism, tourism and social inclusion in Africa, and the role of tourism for the development of cities, among other topics.
At the event were presented experiences of tourism in London and investment in the area focused on the management of hotel developments in Africa.
In addition to the leaders of major world hotel chains, such as Marriot, Radisson, Hilton and Accor, the Forum was attended by former French President François Hollande.
